Welcome to your heyday!

The drastic change in decor & music from one studio to the next felt abrasive and wasn’t what I wanted my clients to experience when they arrived.

I remember when I first moved into a studio after working in a salon...

Erin's Story

I knew I could create something better—something that elevated the client experience from the second they walked through the door. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized: why stop there?

That’s what Heyday Collective is. It’s not just a beautiful studio salon - it’s a better way to work.

If I was going to build a dream studio salon, it had to be just as intentional for the stylists as it was for the clients. Because we deserve more than just four walls and a locking door—we deserve a space that’s thoughtfully designed to support our craft, our business goals, and the lifestyle we’re working so hard to create.

I was so excited to have something of my own. I couldn't wait to be in control of my guest experience, and to offer only the services I wanted to provide.

But I still found myself wishing I could change the environment my clients walked into at each appointment. Half the time, clients didn’t know where they were going and ended up getting lost in a corridor of doors trying to find me.

—Eleni Racick

“I’ve worked at three salons in the past and no one has ever taken the time or shown interest in helping me to become a successful stylist like Erin has.”

— Taisha Ortiz

“It’s good to finally feel like I have leaders who care deeply and value their artists.”

WHAT STYLISTS ARE SAYING

I loved my studio, but I couldn’t grow the business I wanted (or serve clients well) from a windowless, fluorescent-lit cubicle.

We found a 1,000 sq ft spot in Ohio City—too small for our full vision, but perfect for a boutique salon of my own. After 7 months of construction, I opened the first Heyday Collective.

The first Heyday

2018

I left the salon I’d been working at and moved into my own studio. I loved the freedom, flexibility, and calling my own shots. But the environment? Not it. So many things were missing, for me and for my clients.

Moved into my first studio

2016

On a date night in Cleveland, Tim and I were dreaming out loud about the businesses we hoped to build.

A bottle of wine in, I sketched a corner building on a napkin: restaurant below, salon above. It felt like a "someday dream," but it stuck with us.

The napkin sketch

2010

My business was shifting. My assistant and a fellow stylist were going out on their own, and I felt a strong pull to revisit the dream of building something bigger.

We found a large building in Lakewood—wide open and full of possibility. We signed a lease and got to work! That space would eventually become Heyday Collective at The Nest.

A bigger vision takes shape

2021

After more than a year of planning, designing, and building, Heyday Collective at The Nest officially opened, with 19 stylists ready ready to move in.

It was a dream come to life—11 single studios, 2 double studios, 6 open floor stations, and 2 boutique salon spaces. Plenty of open space where stylists could connect & build community.

Just days before opening, I found the original napkin sketch tucked in with some old photos—a divine reminder of a vision 13 years in the making.

*And in case you were wondering… Yes — in 2025, we did open that restaurant on the first floor at The Nest.

The Nest opens its doors

2023

Less than a mile from The Nest, our landlord offered us another building and asked if we wanted to do it all over again. We said yes.

It was another blank canvas. A chance to recreate what we’d built and keep evolving it. Planning kicked off, demo started, and construction began.

Heyday Collective at The Marlowe Exchange is officially on the way—opening in 2026.

The next chapter

2024

Heyday Collective started with a napkin sketch and a dream to do things differently.

We don’t just clock in—we carry ourselves like the owners we are. From our daily routines to our long-term goals, we move with purpose and pride. Excellence is our standard, because when we rise, we raise the bar for everyone around us.

Pursuit of Excellence

Our Values

Entrepreneurship

We’re not waiting for someone to hand us our dream life—we’re building it. Not by doing more, but by doing the right things with purpose and clarity. We know success isn’t about hustle culture—it’s about focus, ownership, and doing what most won’t so we can live the kind of life most don’t.

We don’t do cookie-cutter. We question everything, remix the rules, and always leave room for magic. Whether it’s how we design our space, make our schedules, or vibe with clients, we know there’s more than one way to nail it - and we’re not afraid to shake things up).

Creativity

Wellness

Burnout is not a badge of honor we’re chasing. We rest. We set boundaries. We take care of our minds, bodies, and hearts so our creativity can actually thrive. Wellness is essential, because when we’re good, our work is great.

Hospitality

Being welcoming isn’t just what we do—it’s who we are.We go above and beyond to make people feel seen, celebrated, and taken care of. The kind of thoughtful generosity that makes people say, “Wait… this is different.”
